Karen Liebreich (Web editor): Author. Founder and vice-chair of the Chiswick House Kitchen Garden project which successfully campaigned to retain the walled gardens as an educational, horticultural project. Co-founder of Abundance London, harvesting surplus fruit with local schools. Trustee of Hammersmith Community Gardens Association. Trustee of Dukes Meadows, 2006-9.
Angela Dixon (Vice-chair, WLRG Rep on Thames Strategy, Kew to Chelsea Steering Committee): Lived in Hammersmith since 1967. Former Chairman of the Hammersmith & Fulham Historic Buildings Group from its inception in 1987 to October 2011. In 1996, together with the Hammersmith Society, helped to initiate the West London River Group, and raise the money for the Thames Strategy-Kew to Chelsea. Particular interests are historic buildings and their settings, landscape and views rural and urban. Honorary member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2002.
Shirley Passmore (Vice chair): Honours degree in Social Biology & Education. Careers in photography and as a history teacher. Life-long Wandsworth resident. Founder member and past chair of Wandsworth Society (now on the planning committee). Member of WLRG from its formation. Member of Wandsworth History Society & Wandsworth Common Management Advisory Committee (past Chair). Wandsworth Civic Award (1998).
Diana Roth (committee member): Designer with architectural background. Ten years dealing with planning for Mortlake with East Sheen Society, also for Mortlake Community Association. Represented MwES on Richmond Conservation Area’s Advisory committee. Founder member, ex-vice chair of WLRG.
Michael McDermott (Newsletter editor): Moved to West London in 1976. VSO in Sierra Leone and subsequently worked as a senior official on the elections in Bosnia and Kosovo. During the time he was living in Hammersmith and Chiswick he was Chair of the Grove Neighbourhood Council, Chair of the Hammersmith Society and was the first Chair of the WLRG. He was also a member of the management committee of the Emerald Centre before it moved out of Hammersmith Broadway.
Roger Weston (WLRG Rep on London Waterways Commission): Fulham resident since 1975. Particular interest in the River Thames, its history and its future. Vice-chairman of the Friends of Bishops Park. Formerly chairman of WLRG and the Thames Strategy Kew to Chelsea Steering Committee.
